
Mike Gatto is an attorney and former California State Assemblyman. He served four terms in the California Legislature, authoring several landmark pieces of legislation, including the state’s first Rainy Day Fund and 55 other measures that became law. He developed significant expertise in government and private finance during his time in the Assembly, where he presided as Assistant Speaker; served on the Banking and Finance Committee for seven years; and chaired the Appropriations, Consumer Protection and Privacy, and Utilities and Commerce committees.
Mr. Gatto is currently a managing partner of a small law firm, where he advises corporations, small businesses, and analysts on governmental and regulatory issues. He is also a regular national news commentator. He lives in Southern California with his wife and three children.
